On October 8, during IMC 2026, PG INT joined hands with Grid-OS, an India-based IoT product design and manufacturing company, to showcase their collaboration across smart payment and vehicle tracking applications. Grid-OS’ Payment Soundbox is powered by PG INT’s LE270 LTE Cat 1 bis module, while two 4G Vehicle Tracker products adopt PG INT’s LE250 series LTE Cat 1 bis modules. From payment terminals to vehicle tracking, the collaboration now spans multiple IoT product lines, expanding the scaled adoption of wireless connectivity in locally developed devices in India.
India’s IoT market is moving rapidly toward large-scale deployment. In digital payments, for example, data from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) shows that monthly UPI transactions reached 24.509 billion in August 2026. As digital payments expand across offline merchant scenarios and applications such as vehicle tracking continue to grow, IoT devices are facing increasingly diverse requirements for reliable connectivity, low power consumption, positioning and flexible product development.
As a B2B IoT ODM, Grid-OS provides end-to-end capabilities spanning product design, hardware and software development, and mass manufacturing. Its smart factory has a monthly capacity of more than 300,000 electronic products. Through the collaboration, PG INT’s wireless connectivity capabilities are being further integrated into Grid-OS’ local product development and manufacturing system, supporting IoT devices from development through scaled delivery.
Payment Connectivity
As digital payment terminals are deployed at scale across distributed merchant locations, Payment Soundboxes need to remain reliably connected and deliver transaction information in real time while maintaining efficient power consumption for long-term operation.
Grid-OS’ Payment Soundbox adopts PG INT’s LE270 LTE Cat 1 bis module, providing stable 4G cellular connectivity for real-time payment information transmission. LE270 is optimized for connected-mode and DRX standby power consumption. Leveraging its low-power design, the Grid-OS Payment Soundbox delivers approximately 7–8 days of battery life with a 2000mAh battery, balancing always-on connectivity with endurance.
Designed for mid- and low-data-rate IoT applications including payment devices, LE270 combines reliable connectivity, a compact design and low-power performance to provide a solid communications foundation for large-scale terminal deployment.
Vehicle Tracking
The collaboration also extends to Vehicle Tracker products. Grid-OS has developed two 4G Trackers based on PG INT’s LE250 series LTE Cat 1 bis modules, leveraging their LTE connectivity and GPS/BeiDou positioning capabilities to support vehicle location and operational data transmission.
Designed for Tracker, vehicle-mounted and other IoT applications, LE250 also supports OpenCPU and DFOTA, helping simplify terminal development while supporting subsequent software upgrades and maintenance.
Deepening Collaboration in India
From Payment Soundbox to Vehicle Tracker, and from LE270 to the LE250 series, PG INT’s wireless communication products have been adopted across multiple Grid-OS IoT product lines. The partnership is expanding from individual product integration toward broader multi-product and multi-scenario collaboration, demonstrating PG INT’s ability to address diverse local IoT device requirements in India through a differentiated product portfolio.
Raghav Gautam, Founder of Grid-OS said: “India is seeing growing demand for IoT devices built around real business scenarios, with different products requiring different capabilities in connectivity, power consumption, positioning and functional integration. PG INT’s broad wireless communication portfolio gives us the flexibility to select suitable solutions for different device requirements. Combined with Grid-OS’ capabilities from product design and development to mass manufacturing, we look forward to expanding our collaboration and bringing more IoT products to market efficiently.”
Ronald Chan, Vice President of APAC Sales at PG INT, said: “India is an important IoT market where PG INT continues to deepen its presence. As IoT applications move toward larger-scale deployment, customers are looking for increasingly diverse connectivity and product development capabilities. Our collaboration with Grid-OS, expanding from Payment Soundbox to Vehicle Tracker, demonstrates how PG INT works with local ODM partners through a diversified wireless portfolio to address different device requirements. We will continue to combine our wireless connectivity, technical support and global service capabilities with the strengths of India’s local ecosystem to accelerate the scaled commercial deployment of more IoT products.”
PG INT and Grid-OS will continue to combine their strengths in wireless connectivity, product development and mass manufacturing to explore more opportunities across smart payment, vehicle tracking and other IoT applications in India.
